Where I am at the moment? I’ve got to 55 and I am finally in my dream job – offering psychological support to people with cancer. Retirement is now not an option.

I’m also loving being the mother of a 12 year old. Life is pretty good.

I am born and bred here and my family goes back generations in the maritime history. we also sacrificed our men in WW2. I come from a long line of strong women who have overcome adversity. I love Southampton with a passion and get involved in the town’s events and future planning as much as I am able to. Thank you for putting this event on to highlight the lack of women’s involvement in a strong, wonderful town. We have much culture to share.

I was born in Southampton, lived on South Coast, went to France stayed for 5 years, met my husband Georges. Returned to UK together and have lived in Southampton for several years. I worked in teaching English as a foreign language, library and did a degree in Fine Art at WSA. I a now a practicing artist in Southampton.
