700 women
700 women were invited to walk through god’s house tower, to enact a positive symbolic gesture of feminist and democratic intent in response to the male-dominated history of this medieval monument. one woman for each year the building has stood, re-balancing the gendered history of the space as it looks towards its future as a new arts and heritage venue.
generated on the day were photographs, drawings, and herstories, which are presented in a book, available here, and which will be released in weekly blog posts during the development period, as ght is reincarnated.
